I have known First Cafés and utilized their services for a number of years at Earls Court & Olympia venues for high attendance events. Events such as the many concerts we contract (regular attendance 18,000 visitors a night), London International show Jumping (attendance 78,000 over seven days), Royal Smithfield Show (attendance 48,000 over four days).
First Cafés have always served, to our visitors, a good range of quality products at competitive prices. Products that matched the visitor profile of each event, and done so in a calm and professional manner.
What has been especially reassuring is the professionalism of their staff who operate as a cohesive team. They get on with the job/event in hand, from planning through to set-up, operating and on to pull out without any need for consistent monitoring. I am writing to say thank you to you and your team for the great service you provided for runners and spectators at the above event (Cardiff Half Marathon, Sunday 19th October 2008), it was, as in the past second to none. Thank you also for your contribution to Barnardo's Cymru of £200, this is very much appreciated.
The event this year attracted nearly 8,000 runners, most of whom were raising money for various charities and good causes. Barnardo's Cymru prides itself in being unique, as a charity, providing a platform for all sponsors, charities, good causes and our Capital City to benefit from.
Barnardo's Cymru believes that every child deserves the best start in life, regardless of who they are, what they have been through or what they have done. We only get one chance at childhood, which is why Barnardo's Cymru runs a wide range of community based services which are aimed at helping some of the most disadvantaged children, young people and their families.

First Cafés, operated by Mr. Wayne Fox, has been a trading partner of Central Catering Services Limited for 7 years. They operate large sections of most of our outside events on a Concession basis, including all Campsite Public Catering facilities at the Isle of Wight Music Festival (15,000 campers), Leeds Festival (45,000 campers), and the V Festival Campsites (45,000 campers). First Cafés have also catered for most of our indoor events, including the Millennium Dome, where their electric Catering Carts are a particular strength.
I have always found the standard of First Cafés work to be first class, with their equipment and rolling stock extremely presentable and second to none.
With the event industry sometimes being unpredictable and conditions sometimes altering quickly, I have always found Mr Wayne Fox and his Operations Director, Mr David Pullin to be very accommodating and adaptable to change. Their strengths are not only in the Public Catering field, but equally comfortable in a more hospitality led environment.
To conclude, with my experience of working with First Cafés, together with their professionalism and high quality standards, I would have no hesitation in recommending them to any future trading partners.
