First Cafés Is Going Greener With Some New Industry Leading Ideas!
First Cafés is currently in the process of building some unique new semi permanent catering units (see images on the right) to support the issues surrounding the worlds global environmental problems. We feel that these new semi permanent units will have a massive impact on our industry, as it will reduce the amount of time that our current vehicles and units are on the road. These units will allow us to leave them in various venues throughout the year for a much longer period of time, as opposed to moving them all around the country on a regular basis. The units will be fully electric and will offer a wide variety of food and drink options to prospective clients. For more information on these units please contact marc@firstcafes.co.uk
"The Hayes Island Snack Bar" keeps in with Cardiff's history
First Cafés "Hayes Island Snack Bar" will continue to operate and serve traditional teas and bacon butties next to Cardiff's latest new shopping mall "St.David's 2". The snack bar is part of history in Cardiff where further back in the day, The Hayes was the site of an open-air market. One 1880's postcard tells us that "The public library (next to the snack bar), which handsome building was recently enlarged, fronts upon a smaller square which on a Saturday is noisy with cheap Jacks and vendors of quack medicine gathering around the statue of a local policeman."
Going From Strength To Strength
First Cafés are pleased to announce the aquisition of L&S Caterers of Newport. Following recent negotiations First Cafés has now completed the purchase of L&S and all it's assets.
Formerly owned by Leroy Bishop and Steven Beard, First Cafés would like to wish Leroy the very best for the future, whilst welcoming the opportunity to work with Steven who will continue to run the rolling assets as a seperate operation, allbeit under the management of First Cafés.
Mr. Fox (Mananging Director - First Cafés) said, "this latest expansion will enable us to offer a wider choice of catering options for festivals and concerts as well as those events where more traditional food for example, freshly battered fish and chips is appropriate."
